Shipping and Returns

  • How do you ship green tea?

    Our fresh green teas are shipped directly from Japan to our warehouse in Tamilnadu, India on weekly basis.  We ship all of our fresh green tea to you from our warehouse in Tamilnadu using India Post via Speed Post Service. This shipping approach allow us to reliably ship fresh green tea speedily to your door without any international shipping involved after you order, and it also provides Cash on Delivery (COD) option for people who prefer not to use credit card online.

  • How much do you charge for shipping?
    For a LIMITED TIME ONLY, all orders are shipped with free shipping today!  (COD - Cash on Delivery is 100 RS)

  • Do you ship anywhere in India?
    Yes, we ship anywhere in India.

  • Do you ship internationally outside India?
    Unlike other companies, we only serve Indian customers, meaning we only ship within India.  If you are outside of India and are interested in our products, please contact info@JapaneseGreenTea.in

  • How long does it take to get my green tea after ordering?
    Unlike other online shops where they ship from Japan or USA, our green tea is shipped from Japan to India to our warehouse in Tamilnadu weekly so that we can ship fresh green tea to you quickly from Tamilnadu using India Post. With processing, you receive your order within one week of ordering.

  • Do I need to pay for import tax?
    No.  Unlike other online sites selling from outside India, we take care of all custom taxes and import duties so that you do not have to worry about any of it. We ship items from our warehouse in Tamilnadu after all import legality is done in bulk through weekly shipment so that you don't have to worry about import tax and other custom duties like other web sites.

  • Can I cancel my order?
    We understand that we all change our minds sometimes. So, you can cancel your order within 48 hours of the purchase at no cost, and we will simply refund you the full amount.  After 48 hours, cancellation is subject to a INR1000 administration fee whether the item has been shipped or not.  If your order is already shipped, you (the buyer) will also be responsible for return shipping charges. Your refund will be credited to your credit card which you originally used to place the order. Please contact us at Returns@JapaneseGreenTea.in.

  • Do you provide Cash On Delivery (COD) Payment?
    Yes, we do.  Simply select the “Cash on Delivery” option at the time of checkout.  The price for COD is included in the shipping cost. The item will be delivered via ISO Certified courier Service; Trackon Couriers and you will be asked to pay for the amount at the time of delivery.

  • Is It Vegetarian?
    Yes, all our products are 100% Vegetarian.

  • Is it Made in Japan?
    Yes, all our products are 100% made in Japan. Within Japan, our tea farms are in the area where it is known for the best green tea production in Japan: Shizuoka by Mt. Fuji.  Please see About Us Page for more information.

  • How to brew Japanese green tea?

  • I would like to try green tea. Which tea do you recommend?
    The world of Japanese Green Tea is wide and wonderful… but, it is sometimes confusing with all the terms used. For this reason, we have created a Glossary of Japanese Green Tea along with a chart so that you can decide which one would be best for you.  Please refer to Glossary of Japanese Green Tea for more information.

  • Does your green tea have tulsi in it?
    No, but you are welcome to add tulsi to our high quality green tea.  We understand that people put tulsi in green tea, particularly in India, but we wish to deliver the highest quality of Japanese Green Tea in the purest form possible. In Japan, tulsi is not put in green tea, nor does Japan harvest tulsi. Therefore, we do not put tulsi in our tea, however, please enjoy the tea by adding tulsi yourself if that is what you enjoy.  In fact, we know that our fresh and high quality green tea does go very well with aroma and flavor of tulsi!  
     
  • I've heard that Green Tea is good for health.  Is it true?
    Yes, it is! Since Japanese Green Tea is processed less than other types of tea, the health effects are known to be greater than other types of tea.  We have put together an article to summarize Scientifically Proven 7 Health Effects of Japanese Green Tea. You can read more about it here.
  • What about Expiration Date?
    We get all our freshly picked green tea from Japan on weekly basis. Most of our products have an expiration date of 1 year from manufacturing, so you will have enough time to enjoy your green tea!  The date of Manufacturing and expiration are printed on each package following FSSAI. (Food Safety and Authority of India) regulations.

  • What is the best water to use for Green Tea in India?
    Green Tea is best prepared with soft water with less mineral.  If you have a water softener filter system, use the water filtered by softener. Conversely, if you are using bottled water, try avoiding ones with "Added Mineral" as it tends to break the tea flavor; use regular Bisleri rather than Bisleri with Added Mineral.  If you have access to Evian, it would give better taste as Evian is known for soft water.

    We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diner’s Club Along, PayPal and Apple Pay on Mobile.  Our checkout procedures are authorized through Braintree, A PayPal Company (that is the most reliable account settlement companies) that processed our online credit card payments to provide secure transactions for our customers.
